Quality is not a department at Somnath Bidi Factory — it is a culture. From the first leaf that enters our factory to the last pack that leaves it, every step is governed by our rigorous quality control protocols.
Every batch of tobacco and tendu leaves is inspected before entering production. We check moisture content, aroma, color, and leaf quality.
Each bidi must contain the precise measured amount of tobacco. Random samples from every batch are weighed to ensure consistency.
Trained QC inspectors visually examine every bidi for uniform shape, proper wrapping, secure sealing, and absence of defects.
After the drying process, bidis are tested for optimal moisture content to ensure proper burning and smoking characteristics.
Final packs are checked for correct count, proper sealing, accurate labeling, and packaging integrity before dispatch.
Every production batch is documented with quality parameters for traceability and accountability.
Any batch that fails even a single quality check is immediately rejected and reprocessed. We never knowingly allow a sub-standard bidi to reach our customers. This policy has been our cornerstone since day one.
