Raw Tobacco Selection

The foundation of every great bidi is the quality of its tobacco. Our sourcing team carefully selects raw tobacco from trusted farmers across the finest tobacco-growing regions. Each batch is evaluated for aroma, texture, moisture content, and flavor profile before being approved for production.

We maintain long-standing relationships with our tobacco suppliers, ensuring consistent quality throughout the year. Only tobacco that meets our rigorous specifications enters our factory.

Stage Two

Leaf Preparation

Tendu leaves are at the heart of traditional bidi making. Once procured, the leaves undergo a meticulous preparation process — sorting, cleaning, moistening, and precise cutting to ensure the perfect size and pliability for hand rolling.

Only leaves that pass our strict quality check — free from tears, discoloration, or imperfections — are selected for use in our premium bidis.

Hand Rolling

This is where tradition lives. Our skilled artisans — many with decades of rolling experience — carefully fill each tendu leaf with the measured tobacco blend and roll it by hand to achieve the perfect shape, tightness, and size. The roll is then sealed with cotton thread.

A single expert bidi roller can produce hundreds of perfectly uniform bidis per day, maintaining consistency through muscle memory and skilled craftsmanship that cannot be replicated by machines.

Drying Process

Rolled bidis are carefully dried in controlled chambers at specific temperatures. This removes excess moisture while preserving the tobacco's natural flavors and ensuring a consistent smoking experience. The drying process typically takes 24-48 hours depending on conditions.

Quality Testing

Every batch undergoes rigorous quality inspection by our trained quality control team. Bidis are checked for uniformity, proper sealing, correct weight, and visual quality. Batches that don't meet our standards are rejected — we never compromise on quality.

Approved bidis are packed in our premium branded packaging. Available in 25-piece, 50-piece, and bulk packaging, each pack is clearly labeled with all statutory warnings and product information, ready for distribution to our dealer network.
